Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
After a rainout last night, the IronPigs (29-47) play a doubleheader at 1:05 p.m. to culminate a three-game series against the West's third-place Louisville Bats (37-38) at Coca-Cola Park... With an 11-5 loss on Friday, the Pigs have dropped three consecutive games at Coca-Cola Park and started 0-1 on this eight-game homestand. Still, the Pigs are 8-6 in their last 14 contests after dropping 15 of 18 affairs from May 24 to June 11... The Bats -- Cincinnati's top affiliate -- have won back-to-back games (by a combined 26-7 score) and improved to 4-4 on this 10-game, North Division road trip. Still, the Bats are just 6-10 since June 10... Lehigh Valley took the first meeting this season, 2-1, from May 4-6 in Louisville... Next up is a three-game series against the first-place SWB RailRiders (43-33), who are 21-10 since May 25.
In Game One, RHP Jason Berken (4-4, 3.70) will start for LHV against RHP Dylan Axelrod (4-5, 4.31).
In Game Two, LHV's starter is TBA (bullpen game) against RHP Donovan Hand (1-3, 4.38).
