
Bats Host July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza, Beach Night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats will host their annual July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza this Friday at Louisville Slugger Field. Gates will open at 5:40 p.m. for the 6:45 p.m. contest against the Columbus Clippers. The fireworks, produced by Zambelli, will follow the conclusion of the game.
The Bats' homestand opens Monday, June 29 against the Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Monday will serve as Peanut Allergy Awareness Night, as no peanut or peanut-based products will be sold or be allowed to be brought into the ballpark. $1 hot dogs and $1 Pepsis will be sold at the game on Tuesday, June 30 before the series concludes Wednesday.
The Clippers, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, then visit beginning Thursday, July 2. That evening, the club will host another locally famous $1 Budweiser beer happy hour from 5:30-7 p.m. featuring live music on the Overlook Deck by Olivia Henken, who appeared on Season 5 of The Voice, from 5:30-6:25 p.m. On Friday, July 3, in addition to the fireworks, the Bats will be giving away Bats logo hats to the first 2,000 paid admissions at the game.
The Bats then head north to Indianapolis for three games against the Indianapolis Indians, Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, before returning home for three more games against the Tribe starting Tuesday, July 7. On Thursday, July 9, the Bats will host their first ever Beach Night, which will feature a Bats bucket hat giveaway to the first 1,500 paid admissions and in-game performances by Bucket Ruckus.
The Bats have averaged 8,912 fans per game at Louisville Slugger Field since its opening in 2000 and have totaled over 9.4 million fans through 15 seasons.
