Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
Due to rain on Monday and Tuesday, the Pigs have yet to complete a game on this seven-game, South Division road trip. So tonight, the IronPigs (18-27) will attempt to finish Game 1 and play Game 2 of a four-game series against the fourth-place Gwinnett Braves (19-25) at Coolray Field... With a 7-5 home loss to Charlotte on Sunday, the Pigs had their season-high, six-game winning streak snapped -- one victory shy of tying the franchise record. Even so, the Pigs have emerged victorious in eight of their last 11 contests. In fact, they've gone 12-7 since starting 6-20 through May 4... The Braves -- Atlanta's top affiliate -- were shutout 4-0 in Columbus on Sunday, winding up with a split of a four-game series and a 3-4 West Division road trip. Gwinnett has gone just 4-10 since taking two-of-three in Lehigh Valley from May 8-10.
In the continuation of Game 1, RHP Tyler Knigge (0-0, 5.12) will resume for LHV against RHP Chien-Ming Wang (1-4, 4.70).
In Game 2, LHP Joely Rodriguez (2-3, 5.18) will start for LHV against RHP Sugar Ray Marimon (2-2, 4.05).
First Pitch of the continuation of Game 1 is scheduled for 5:05 p.m... Tomorrow's doubleheader will also start at 5:05 p.m.
