MARION, Ill. - The Florence Y'alls found ways to score in six different innings on Tuesday night, including three to take the lead in the top of the eighth in an 8-5 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners at Rent One Park.

Tied at four in the eighth, second baseman Andres Rios drove in his 10th RBI of the season with Florence's 10th hit of the game to give the Y'alls the late lead. Two batters later, center fielder Connor Crane game Florence insurance with a two-out two-RBI single to make it 7-4.

Florence added an extra run in the ninth after a shortstop Luis Pintor double and catcher Trevor Craport single, his league-leading 83rd RBI of the 2021 season.

Closer Joe Dougherty came in in relief for the third time in as many days in a non-save situation. Despite giving up a run, Dougherty sealed the 8-5 victory. Alex Wagner earned the win in relief after throwing a pair of scoreless innings.

With the win and Evansville's loss to Joliet, Florence improves to .5 games back in the Frontier League West Division. The Y'alls continue the final series of a 10-game road trip with the Southern Illinois Miners on Wednesday night at 7:05 CT in Marion, Illinois.
