
Las Vegas Ends Toledo's Seven-Game Winning Streak

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® defeated the Toledo Storm 6-3 on Saturday night in front of 5,969 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 27 saves in the win. Defensemen Jason Jozsa, Scott Schoneck, and Aaron Power each scored as Las Vegas snapped a 167:31-goalless drought. Storm winger Evan McGrath scored a goal and added an assist in the Toledo loss. Las Vegas center Tyler Mosienko scored a goal and dished out two assists. Forwards Chris Neiszner and Marco Peluso each had three assists in the victory for Las Vegas. Las Vegas will host the Toledo Storm again on Tuesday night at 7:05pm at the Orleans Arena.
In the first period, Storm defenseman Jason Maleyko scored his third goal of the season to give Toledo a 1-0 lead. The Wranglers answered back at the 18:55 mark, Tyler Mosienko put home his 14th goal of the season to tie the game 1-1.
In the second period, Jason Josza scored on the power play to give Las Vegas a 2-1 lead. Winger Arpad Mihaly added another power-play goal at 11:43, pushing the Las Vegas lead to 3-1. Matt Zultek countered back for Toledo at 12:06 to bring the Storm within a goal at 3-2. Wranglers' defenseman Scott Schoneck answered back for the Wranglers at 15:33 to make the score 4-2 Las Vegas. Center Evan McGrath's fifth goal of the season brought the Storm back to within a goal at 4-3.
In the third period, Wranglers defenseman Aaron Power lit the lamp for the fourth time this season to give the Wranglers a 5-3 lead. Wranglers forward Aki Seitsonen finished the scoring with his 12th of the year from Tyler Mosienko and Marco Peluso for the final score of 6-3
The Wranglers conclude a three-game series with the Toledo Storm at the Orleans Arena on Tuesday, February 6th at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will head out for two straight games on the road before returning to host Alaska on Tuesday, February 13th at 7:05 pm.
