Las Vegas Bounces Toledo's Win Streak

(Las Vegas, NV) The Toledo Storm (23-18-1) saw its season high winning streak of seven games end as they were defeated by Las Vegas (23-9-11) 6-3 tonight. Toledo also had its 3 game road-winning streak snapped as well.

Toledo opened the scoring with a power play at 16:31 of the first period when Jason Maleyko (3rd goal of the year) tipped home a pass from Jeff Attard (also Dan Watson) to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. Tyler Mosienko scored a power play at 18:55 of the first to tie the game at 1 after one period of play.

A wild second period saw both teams combine for five goals. The first came at 9:36 when Jason Jozsa netted a power play goal. Las Vegas would open a two-goal cushion at 11:43 when Arpad Mihaly collected a power play goal; his first goal in a Wranglers uniform. Toledo would close to within one at 12:06 when Matt Zultek (14) deflected a Jason Maleyko (Even McGrath) shot past goaltender Kevin Nastiuk (W, 27 saves). The Wranglers extended their lead at 15:33 when Scott Schoneck tipped a puck past Ervins Mustukovs (L, 21 saves) for a 4-2 lead. Toledo would make a 4-3 game at 17:57 when Even McGrath score his fifth goal of the season on the power play (Chris Blight and PJ. Martin).

Las Vegas blew the game open with a pair of goals early in third period as Aaron Power (1:54) and Aki Seitsonen (4:04) added goals for the final score

The Storm will hit Las Vegas again Tuesday night at 10:05pm. The Storm return to the One Main Street ice on February 16th against the Columbia Inferno.
