Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Former Florida Everblades defenseman Martin Lojek was called up from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League to the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League today, and is expected to make his NHL debut tonight when the Panthers host the Los Angeles Kings at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL.

Lojek, who skated with the Everblades in 2005-06, has spent the entire 2006-07 campaign with Rochester where he has picked up 14 points (4g, 10a) and leads the team in plus/minus rating with a plus-19 in 41 games. The former 4th round draft pick by the Panthers in 2003 spent 45 games in an Everblades uniform last year scoring three goals and adding 11 assists. If Lojek plays tonight for the Panthers, he'll be the 13th former Everblade to skate in an NHL game and the second this season, joining forward Drew Larman.

The Florida Everblades, proud affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers, return to the ice tonight when they take on the Augusta Lynx at 7:35 p.m. from James Brown Arena in Augusta, GA.
