Augusta Lynx News Release

Augusta, GA - Jarrett Lukin's overtime game winner gave the Florida Everblades a 4-3 win over the Augusta Lynx on Saturday night at the James Brown Arena.

With a delayed penalty in the works for the Lynx, Lukin took a pass in front of the Augusta net and bounced the puck over the goal line for the winning tally at 3:03 of the extra session.

Trailing 3-2 in the third period, Garrett Bembridge forced overtime at the 7:00 mark, taking a feed from Brian Passmore and steering the puck over the right shoulder of Craig Kowalski to tie the game and earn a point for the Lynx.

Adam Taylor opened the scoring in the game for Florida at 7:38, but Augusta wasted no time in responding to tie things at 1-1 just 20 seconds later. Louis Goulet picked the puck up on the left wing boards and cut in on goal, deking to the backhand and beating Kowalski to knot the score.

Passmore then gave the Lynx the lead at 9:22 with a power play marker as he redirected a Simon Ferguson feed past Kowalski despite being tied up in front of the net to make it 2-1.

Florida responded with a power play goal of its own at 12:15 off the stick of Dustin Johner, picking up a rebound to the side of Dave McKee in the Augusta net and popping it home to tie the score after 20 minutes of play.

Dave McKee earned the single point with 37 saves in the game while Kowalski collected the win with 25 saves.

Augusta is back in action at home next weekend, starting Friday night against the Trenton Titans at 7:35 pm. Tickets will be on sale Monday morning at 10 am by calling the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE, through all TicketMaster locations, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com.
