Lalande Returns To Wranglers

Moline, IL- The Quad City Flames today announced that goaltender Kevin Lalande has been returned to the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers. Last night, Lalande played his first game as a Flame during the 2008-09 season. He stopped 24 shots en route to a shutout in a 5-0 win over the Houston Aeros.

Lalande returns to the ECHL as one of the top goaltenders on the circuit. He is tied for fourth in the league in save percentage (.924) and shares fifth in the ECHL in goals against average (2.37). He has amassed a 6-7-2 record in 17 appearances for the Wranglers.

Last season, Lalande appeared in seven games as a rookie with the AHL's Flames. The Kingston, Ontario native played primarily in the ECHL with Las Vegas during his first professional campaign. With the Wranglers, he went 17-5-4 while compiling a .932 save percentage and a 2.05 goals against average in 2007-08. He was also integral in the Wranglers' post-season success. He went 13-7 in the post-season with a 2.52 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. Lalande's play contributed to the Wranglers appearance in the 2008 ECHL Kelly Cup Finals.

The Flames are in San Antonio tonight for a game vs. the Rampage. Game time is 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC beginning at 6:35 p.m. with The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show. Fans can watch the game live for just $6.00 at ahllive.com.

The Flames return from a nine-game road trip on Saturday night.
