SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have traded right wing Joey Tetarenko to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for goaltender Simon Lajeunesse, who was assigned to San Antonio.

Lajeunesse, 22, has appeared in 19 games with the Binghamton Senators this season, posting a 7-7-1 record and a 2.92 goals against average. He has also appeared in four games with the East Coast Hockey League's Peoria Rivermen, going 2-2-0 with a 2.01 goals against average.

Lajeunesse, Ottawa's second choice (48th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, completed his first professional season last year, appearing in 26 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins, posting a 13-7-5 record and a 2.11 goals against average. He also appeared in one game with the Ottawa Senators, as well as 13 games with the ECHL's Mobile Mysticks.

Tetarenko, who turned 25 yesterday, was recalled by the Panthers on February 28 and appeared in two games with the Panthers collecting no points. He has played in 69 National Hockey League contests recording four goals, one assist and 167 penalty minutes.

In 50 games with the Rampage this year, Tetarenko collected 16 points (4-12-16) and 123 penalty minutes.

In addition, the Florida Panthers announced today that they have recalled left wing Eric Beaudoin and have reassigned left wing Pierre Dagenais.

Beaudoin, 22, joins the Panthers for the fourth time this season. In 12 games with the Panthers this year he has recorded an assist and 21 penalty minutes. The Ottawa, Ontario native has played in 16 NHL contests, all with the Panthers, recording five points (1-4-5) and 25 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound left winger has appeared in 30 games with the Rampage recording 26 points (10-16-26). Beaudoin picked up eight points (2-6-8) in his last two games, tallying a goal and three assists in each of San Antonio's last two victories.

Dagenais, 25, earned his second call-up of the season on Feb. 17. During his most recent stint he was a healthy scratch for each of the Panthers last eight games. He has appeared in five scoreless games with the Panthers this season. For his career, the Blainville, Quebec native has totaled 19 points (13-6-19) in 56 NHL games.

In 40 games with the Rampage this year he has recorded 15 goals, 12 assists and 22 penalty minutes.

At the same time, the San Antonio Rampage today released goaltender Peter Brady. Brady dressed as the back-up goaltender for each of the Rampage's last two contests, while Wade Flaherty was out with a minor groin injury.

The Rampage visit the Grand Rapids Griffins tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. The game can be heard live on KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM with Andrew Monaco calling all the action.
