
Scooby-Doo and Elmo to Visit on Friday

Scooby-Doo is set to appear at the Phantoms' game on Friday, March 7, courtesy of Comcast and the Cartoon Network, to meet his fans and take pictures with those who bring cameras. Elmo from Sesame Street will also be at the game on Friday to take a Zamboni ride before the game and greet all his fans during the two intermissions.
SATURDAY IS NASCAR NIGHT
Saturday, March 8 is NASCAR Night, as a real showcar from Dover International Speedway will be on display by section 220 on the concourse. There will also be racing simulator games on the concourse, prize pack giveaways, and a chance to win two tickets to the MBNA Platinum 200 Busch Series Race on May 31 at Dover International Speedway.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
The first 2,000 fans in attendance on Wednesday, March 19 will receive a Phantoms umbrella, courtesy of PECO. The one-and-only SpongeBob SquarePants is set to return to the First Union Spectrum on Friday, March 21. SpongeBob will be signing autographs and taking pictures with his fans who bring cameras.
NEW ONLINE AUCTION BEGINS FRIDAY
A new bi-weekly online auction begins this Friday, March 7. Log on to www.phantomshockey.com to place your bid on Helping Hands framed cards featuring Kirby Law and Keith Primeau, as well as a package that includes four tickets to the Phantoms' March 19 game with a postgame Meet N Greet with Jamie Wright.
PHILADELPHIA SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT SEMINAR
The Phantoms and Comcast-Spectacor will be hosting the first-ever Philadelphia Sports and Entertainment Seminar at the First Union Center from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17. This event is geared towards high school and college students who are interested in the sports and entertainment industry.
Students who sign up will have the opportunity to hear presentations and talk to people in Ticket and Corporate Sales, Marketing, Fan Development/Community Relations, Public Relations, Broadcasting, Building Operations, Human Resources, and Game Operations.
The package is $25 per person, and includes entry into the Sports and Entertainment seminar; two tickets to the Phantoms game on Wednesday, March 19; lunch and a Phlex bobblehead doll. Call 215-465-4522 to register now.
NEXT JERSEY AUCTION SET FOR MARCH 23
The Phantoms' second postgame jersey auction of the season is set for Sunday, March 23 during Tribute to Philly Hockey Night. Philadelphia will be wearing replicas jerseys of the old Philadelphia Firebirds (1974-77 NAHL,1977-79 AHL) during its game against the Hartford Wolf Pack before auctioning them off in Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant.
The Phantoms Wives Charity Foundation, a division of the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation, is dedicating proceeds from the jersey auction and all its fund-raising efforts this season to the National Adoption Center. The NAC is a private, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia that has found families for more than 19,000 children across the United States.
During the first jersey auction of the season, the Phantoms Wives raised $19,000 on Dec. 20 when the team wore special red & green Holiday jerseys during its 4-2 win over the Hershey Bears. A total of $1,470 was also raised at the third annual player bachelor auction on Nov. 15. Fans placed bids at the Phantoms Wives table for the chance to go on a date with one of six single Phantoms players, as well as Mix 95.7 afternoon disc jockey Rick Stacy.
STAFFORD & LEPHART VISIT LAMBERTVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Forwards Ben Stafford and Mike Lephart read books, answered questions and took pictures with students at Lambertville (NJ) Elementary School on March 3 as part of Read Across America Week.
WRIGHT ON "INSIDE THE PHANTOMS"

Hosted by David Unkle of The Topcat Sports Show, Inside the Phantoms airs twice a month and features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways. NEXT CN8 BROADCAST SET FOR MARCH 21
CN8, the Comcast Network, is airing a total of 11 Phantoms games throughout the 2002-03 season, with the next telecast set for Friday, March 21 vs. the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. The CN8 broadcast team once again features Tim Saunders, Orest Kindrachuk and Mick Moninghoff.

FOOSBALL TOURNAMENT EVERY FRIDAY
Budweiser will be sponsoring a foosball tournament in Bullies before every Friday night home game this season. Two-person teams will compete from 6:00-7:00 p.m., with each winning team receiving two tickets to the Phantoms' final regular-season Friday game on April 4, so they can compete in the final round that night. The champions will win a free foosball table, as well as a Phantoms Fantasy Pack that includes game tickets, dinner in Bullies and the opportunity to watch pre-game warm-ups from the bench.
STUDENT TICKETS JUST $8 ON WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS
College and high school students with valid student IDs can attend all Phantoms games on Wednesdays and Fridays this season for just $8.
