Bulldogs Announce Final Details for McMaster Hockey Tribute

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today final details for the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the McMaster Marlins 1962/63 CIAU Mens Championship Team and the 25th Anniversary of the McMaster Lady Mac 1977/78 North American Womens University Hockey Championship Team. The tribute will be held on Friday, March 21st at 7:30 p.m., when the Bulldogs host the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum.

Among the players and coaches confirmed to attend the celebration will be Bill Mahoney, a former McMaster Marlins player and head coach.

The festivities on March 21st will begin with a skate for McMaster player alumni at 4:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. Following the skate there will be a presentation of awards and sweaters to the players. As well, prior to the game, there will be player introductions, a video presentation, and the raising of the two banners.

To commemorate the occasion, Hamilton Bulldogs players will be wearing "McMaster Tribute Jerseys" for this game only, to honour the Marlins and Lady Mac championship teams. These jerseys will be available for auction at the conclusion of the game.
