LA Galaxy Acquire Allocation Money from D.C. United and Orlando City SC

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has acquired Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) from D.C. United and Orlando City SC in separate trades. The LA Galaxy acquired $250,000 of Targeted Allocation Money from D.C. United in exchange for midfielder Emmanuel Boateng. Additionally, the LA Galaxy acquired $136,220 from Orlando City SC in exchange for $200,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM).

"We want to thank Emmanuel for his contributions to the LA Galaxy during his time with the club," said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. "We wish him the best of luck in his future."

Boateng, 25, joined the LA Galaxy ahead of the 2016 season and went on to make 168 appearances with 68 starts for the club. During that span, the midfielder tallied nine goals and 13 assists.

The LA Galaxy are in action next when they travel to face D.C. this Sunday, Aug. 11 at Audi Field (4:30 p.m. PT) live on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
