
Kyle Jean Earns Promotion to AHL

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced center Kyle Jean has signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Jean led the Road Warriors in goals (6), power play goals (2), shots (26) and points (10) through the first nine games of the 2014-15 campaign. Last season, the 24-year old appeared in 41 AHL games with Hartford and registered four points (2g, 2a) with 29 penalty minutes. He also spent 24 regular-season contests with Greenville and an additional 15 playoff games. During the Road Warriors run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, Jean earned 12 points (7g, 5a) including a triple overtime game-winning goal against Kalamazoo in Game 5 of the first round on April 26, 2014.
A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Jean began his professional career during the 2012-13 season with the AHL's Connecticut Whale, where he produced 23 points (9g, 14a) in 73 games. Previously, the 6'4, 203-pound winger played two seasons at Lake Superior State University from 2010-2012.
