
Knights Fall to Tides on Saturday, 13-1

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Knights dropped Saturday's game five matchup to the Norfolk Tides by a score of 13-1 at Truist Field. The Knights have dropped all five games in the series against the Tides.
Charlotte third baseman Zach Remillard had his team's lone RBI of the night. His RBI groundout in the bottom of the third inning scored Danny Mendick.
Before the game, the Knights announced six roster moves - including the additions of right-handed pitchers José Ramírez and Manuel Veloz. Ramirez (0-1, 15.43) got the start for the Knights and was saddled with the loss after he allowed four runs on three hits over 2.1 innings pitched. Veloz allowed three runs on six hits over two innings pitched.
Offensively for the Tides, the team slugged three home runs. Left fielder Peyton Burdick hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, while Connor Norby, who also homered, led the way with four RBI. RHP Albert Suárez (1-0, 4.09) allowed two runs over six shutout innings for the win.
The Knights will conclude the six-game homestand against Jackson Holliday and the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) on Sunday from Truist Field. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. from Uptown Charlotte.
