
Knights Fall to Bulls 1-0 on Wednesday

(DURHAM, NC) - The Charlotte Knights dropped game two of the six-game series against the Durham Bulls by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday night from Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC. The loss was Charlotte's second against the Bulls in the series.
RHP Jimmy Lambert (0-2, 7.59) started for the Knights and was saddled with the loss. He allowed the only run of the game in the bottom of the second inning on a solo home run to Durham first baseman Jim Haley. Lambert, who pitched two innings, struck out four batters on the night.
The Charlotte bullpen was brilliant on Wednesday. LHP Brandon Finnegan (2.0 IP), RHP Will Carter (1.2 IP), RHP J.B. Olson (0.1 IP) and LHP Kyle Kubat (2.0 IP) all combined to hold the Bulls scoreless over the final six innings of the game.
Infielder Yolbert Sánchez, who made his first career Triple-A start at shortstop, paced the offense with two hits. Center fielder Adam Haseley also chipped in with two hits. The Knights had just five hits total on the evening.
Durham reliever Calvin Faucher (2-3, 3.98) earned the win for the Bulls. He did not allow a run over 1.2 innings pitched. Javy Guerra closed the game out to earn his first save of the season.
The two teams will continue the series on Thursday from Durham Bulls Athletic Park. First pitch of game three of the series is set for 6:35 p.m. from the home of the Bulls.
