
Knights Drop Friday's Contest to Tides 9-0

(NORFOLK, VA) - The Charlotte Knights recorded three hits and dropped Friday's contest to the Norfolk Tides by a score of 9-0 on Friday night in game four of the six-game series from Harbor Park in Norfolk, VA. The loss was Charlotte's fourth in the series against Norfolk.
RHP Scott Blewett (0-1, 18.00) started for the Knights and allowed all nine runs of the game over his 4.2 innings pitched. He gave up three of the nine runs in the first inning of the game. Brett Phillips launched a two-run homer in the first inning. It was the first of two home runs that Blewett allowed in the game. He also allowed a two-run blast to Jordan Westburg in the bottom of the fourth frame.
For the Knights, third baseman D.J. Burt, right fielder Blake Rutherford and shortstop Yolbert Sánchez had one hit each. Burt also added two stolen bases to give him a total of four with the Knights this season. He swiped 39 bases with the Double-A Birmingham Barons earlier this season.
Earlier in the day, LHP Samuel Peralta was promoted to the Knights from Birmingham. The 24-year-old made his Triple-A debut and struck out two batters over one scoreless inning of work.
Norfolk RHP Grayson Rodriguez (6-1, 1.92) earned the win after he threw five shutout innings.
The Knights will continue the six-game road series against the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) from Harbor Park in Norfolk, VA on Saturday night.
