Knights Announce Roster Moves

RHP Miguel Chalas was promoted to Charlotte today from Double-A Birmingham where he posted a 3-0 record with a 2.03 ERA in 14 games. Chalas, a native of Seibo, Dominican Republic, was acquired by the Chicago White Sox from the Baltimore Orioles with RHP Mark Blackmar on August 30, 2014 in a trade for OF Alejandro De Aza.

LHP Sean Hagan, a product of St. John's University, was promoted to the Knights from High-A Winston-Salem yesterday and made his Triple-A debut last night. The 24-year-old earned the win after three scoreless innings in Charlotte's 7-5 win at BB&T Ballpark. Hagan, who posted a 1-1 record with two saves and a 4.22 ERA in 11 games (one start) this season for the Dash, was assigned to Double-A Birmingham today. The 24-year-old was drafted by the White Sox in the 31st round of the 2013 draft.

RHP Zach Isler, 24, also made his Triple-A debut last night in Charlotte's 7-5 victory (2.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER). He has appeared in 12 games out of the Winston-Salem Dash bullpen this season and is 0-1 with three saves and a 2.57 ERA (21.0 innings pitched). Originally drafted by the White Sox in the eighth round of the 2012 draft, Isler is a product of the University of Cincinnati.

RHP Chris Beck and RHP Scott Carroll are on Charlotte's active roster effective today. The two right-handed pitchers were optioned back to Charlotte on May 28 from Chicago.
