Kip Kip, Hooray - Americans Sign Brennan

ALLEN, Texas- The Allen Americans have announced that they have added forward Kip Brennan to their roster. A 4th round draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings in the 1998 draft, Brennan has racked up 222 penalty minutes in 61 NHL contests.

"We were a program that was on the top of his list, and we feel like he adds a dimension to our hockey team that we really need," Americans Head Coach and General Manager Dwight Mullins said.

In 2009-10, the 6'4" Kingston, ONT native skated for the Springfield Falcons of the AHL, amassing 263 penalty minutes while appearing in 53 games.

"We are excited to add Kip to our lineup," Mullins said. "He is very motivated and will bring a lot of energy to our team." Brennan, who has played in over 400 professional games, joins the Americans in Prescott Valley, AZ this week.

The first-place Americans play Friday and Saturday night at Tim's Toyota Center against the Arizona Sundogs. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 8:05 CT. The games can be heard on www.975klak.com, and seen on CHL TV.
