Special Ticket Offer for Sunday's Game Vs. Mississippi
November 26, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs are back on home ice to cap off your Thanksgiving weekend with "Pucks & Pigskins" this Sunday afternoon against the Mississippi RiverKings at 4:05 pm, presented by Martin, Martin, Randall & Associates. In conjunction with our 2010 food drive, we're offering another special deal on tickets the game when you donate food to the PODS outside the Centur yTel Center for a limited time tomorrow.
For every non-perishable food item you donate to the Mudbugs food drive tomorrow from 10 am to 2 pm at the CTC, you'll be able to purchase a ticket to Sunday's game at a greatly discounted price: $13 for a gold level ticket and $9 for a bronze level ticket! That's one-third off the regular box office price!
Discounted tickets are available only on Saturday through the Mudbugs office and are not available at the box office. There's no limit to how many you can buy; all you have to do to qualify for this one-time discount is bring at least one non-perishable food item to donate for each ticket you plan to purchase.
Don't forget that in addition to helping the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana this holiday season, the Mudbugs food drive also will help decide local bragging rights between Saints and Cowboys fans. Whichever team's fans step up and donate the most food will get to see the ¬ËBugs take the ice in their team's colors for Sunday's game against Mississippi.
The Mudbugs will wear jerseys modeled after the team that loses the food drive during pre-game warm-ups, so both clubs will be represented. BOTH the Cowboys and Saints sets of uniforms will then be auctioned off to the fans following the game against the RiverKings!
Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 12 noon are your last two chances to donate food before we tally the total weight to decide which jerseys the ¬ËBugs will sport for the game.
Before they come home for Sunday's contest, the ¬ËBugs start a three-in-three set tonight on the road in Tulsa and then travel to Texas to face the Brahmas on Saturday. Sunday's game will then be the fourth of the season between Bossier-Shreveport and Mississippi, with the ¬ËBugs owning a 2-1 edge in the season series so far.
Mini-plans and group ticket packages for all home games are available through the Mudbugs office at 752-BUGS. Individual tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster at 318-741-9700, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at the CenturyTel Center main box office.
Season and group tickets are on sale by calling 318-752-BUGS (2847) or by visiting our website at www.mudbugshockey.com.
