
Kings Recall Rosa; Monarchs Release DavyDuke

EL SEGUNDO, California - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled (under emergency conditions) right wing Pavel Rosa from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings Senior Vice President/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.
Rosa, 25, appeared in one game with the Kings earlier this season, recording zero points and zero penalty minutes. In 55 games this season with the Monarchs, he has 54 points (23-30=54) and 14 penalty minutes. He also has three overtime goals, which leads the team.
The 5-foot-11, 188-pound native of Most, Czech Republic, was originally selected by the Kings in the second round (50th overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft and has appeared in 33 career NHL regular season games, all with the Kings, recording 16 points (4-12=16) with 16 penalty minutes.
The Kings visit the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow at 5 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN Radio 710-KSPN and along the Kings Radio Network.

The Monarchs have released center Kent Davyduke from his professional agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Davyduke, 23, appeared in 13 games for the Monarchs recording one point (a goal) and nine penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has also skated with the Hershey Bears (AHL), Trenton Titans (ECHL) and the Mississippi Sea Wolves (ECHL) during his rookie season, totaling 58 points (20-38=59) in 55 games. The Monarchs signed Davyduke on March 12, 2003.
The Monarchs (37-21-10-5, 89 points) will put their seven-game unbeaten streak on the line when they return to action on Friday at the Verizon Wireless Arena for a match with the Worcester IceCats (7:35 p.m.).
