Kings Recall Pearson

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Tanner Pearson from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

This is Pearson's second re-call of the season. The 21-year-old rookie has appeared in six games for the Kings this season (his first in the NHL), recording one goal and zero penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Kitchener Ontario has played in 30 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 25 points (13-1225), 14 penalty minutes, and a plus-9 rating. His 13 goals are tied for the club lead, while his 25 points are third on the team.

Pearson made his NHL debut for the Kings in last year's playoffs. He was selected by the Kings in the first round (30th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft.

The Monarchs return to the Verizon Wireless Arena to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10.
