The boys are finally back in town after an eight game road trip and we've got a lot line up during this eight game home series against the Swing of the Quad Cities and Kane County Cougars!
We kick things off a 94.1 KRNA Triple Play Tuesday - enjoy a regular sandwich, chips or popcorn and a drink for only $5. The game starts at 6:30pm with gates opening at 5:30pm. The Kernels also welcome students from West.eld Elementary to enjoy an evening at the ballpark. During the game, fans 21 and older can sign up to participate in the Bud Light Hot Dog Eating Contest. Following the games May 16-19, fans will try to eat as many hot dogs as they can in only 3 minutes and qualify for the .nals on Saturday, May 20th. There's great prizes from Bud Light and if you make the .nals, you can win a cash prize of $50!
Who doesn't like free money? Well, May 17th is a Free Money Wednesday brought to you by Fairfax State Savings Bank. The .rst 750 fans will get an envelope with money inside from $1 up to $100. The Kernels welcome Regis Middle School to the ballpark. The game starts at 6:30pm with gates opening at 5:30pm. The second qualifying round of the Bud Light Hot Dog Eating Contest will be held on the .eld right after the game.
Thursday is 100.7 The Fox Buck-A-Cup Thursday. Meet me at the stadium for $1 slushies, 12 oz. beer and soda and $2 bottled water and soda. The game starts at 6:30pm with gates opening at 5:30pm. The Kernels also welcome students from Bowman Woods and Madison Elementary schools to the game for their school night. And, the third qualifying round of the Bud Light Hot Dog Eating Contest will be held on the .eld right after the game.
What better way to relax after a long work week then to tell your frields to 'Meet Me at the Stadium' as the Kernels take on Kane County at 6:30 pm. We welcome students from Truman Elementary and Hoover Elementary for an evening of baseball. The fourth and .nal qualifying round of the Bud Light Hot Dog Eating Contest will be held on the .eld right after the game.
Everyone loves FIREWORKS and Saturday, May 20th is the .rst .reworks show of the season, sponsored by 98.1 KHAK. After the game, the .nals of the Bud Light Hot Dog Eating Contest will be held on the .eld. After that, fans can join the Kernels' players on the .eld for autographs and play catch with your friends and family. Then sit back and relax for the .reworks. The game starts at 5:00pm with gates opening at 4:00pm. The Kernels also welcome students from Nixon Elementary and Wright Elementary.
Sunday May 21st, join the Kernels for another 104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Fun Day. Enjoy $1 popcorn and meet the players before the game for autographs. Travel Advisors will be giving away an Orlando Fun Pack which includes free passes to Magical Midway, Wonder Works, Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, WordSpring Discovery Center, Boggy Creek Airboat and Buggy Rides, a team signed Orlando Magic basketball and much more. After the game, all are welcome to go on the .eld to play catch and run the bases, sponsored by St. Lukes and Velocity. Meet me at the stadium for an afternoon full of fun, the game starts at 2:00pm with gates opening at 1:00pm. The Kernels welcome St. Joseph's School and the College Community Schools to the ballpark.
Monday, May 22nd is Mix 96.5 FM Dollar Dog Monday. All game long enjoy regular hot dogs for only $1. The Kernels welcome Grant Elementary and Wilson School for an evening full of baseball. The game starts at 6:30pm with gates opening at 5:30pm.
The Kernels .nish their eight game home stand on Tuesday, May 23rd with an afternoon full of fun. Enjoy a regular sandwich, chips or popcorn, and a drink for only $5 sponsored by Z-102.9 KZIA. We welcome Central Lutheran School and Excelsior Middle School for an afternoon at the ballpark. The game starts at high noon with gates opening at 11:00am.

Tickets for the upcoming homestand are available by calling the Kernels Ticket Of.ce at (319) 896-7560, or stopping by Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Stadium Ticket Of.ce is open on non-game days from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. On game days the ticket of.ce opens at 10 am and remains open through the end of the 6th inning. Ticket orders can also be placed on-line, at www.kernels.com.
