Bees and Swing Rained Out

Burlington, IA (May 14, 2006) - Today's game between the Burlington Bees and the Swing of the Quad Cities scheduled for 2:00 at Community Field has been rained out. The teams will play a double-header tomorrow night with the first game starting at 6:00. The gates will open at 5:00 for a Dollar Monday presented by Miller Lite. General admission tickets, hot dogs, pizza, popcorn and cans of Pepsi products are all just $1. Cans of Miller products are 2-for-$3 sponsored by Fleck Sales. Carlos Rosa (2-3, 2.64) will start in game one for the Bees and RH Michael Penn (1-1, 4.66) will get the start for game two. This is the Bees' sixth rainout of the season and the team's fifth at home.

Today's scheduled drawing for Iowa's Largest Community Basket has been postponed until this Friday, May 19th during the Bees' game against the Lansing Lugnuts. All of the festivities surrounding the annual Community Basket Day will take place, including the opportunity for the cash prizes if the winner is in attendance and for someone else in attendance at the game. Fans can continue to buy Community Basket tickets throughout the home stand at Community Field. On Friday, there will be a special gates opening time of 5:30.
