Quad Cities River Bandits News Release

LHP Adam Daniels has been activated from the Disabled List and is scheduled to start Monday night, the St. Louis Cardinals announced Sunday. To make room, RHP Josh Wilson has been transferred back to extended spring training.

Daniels, 23, was placed on the DL backdated to April 26 after pulling his hamstring running between starts. The native of North Vancouver, Canada, was 1-3 with a 5.57 ERA before the injury, dropping three consecutive starts after winning his first outing of the season at Kane County on April 9. Daniels was selected by the Cardinals in the 15th round of the 2005 draft out of Oklahoma State.

Wilson, 19, was initially promoted from extended spring training on April 28 to jump into a rotation that had three starters on the DL. With two of those three starters- Daniels and Cory Meacham - back on the active roster, Wilson returns to extended spring training having gone 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in three starts for the Swing.

UP NEXT: The Swing of the Quad Cities will continue their four-game series in Burlington on Sunday. RHP Cory Meacham (1-2, 5.57) is set to take the hill against RHP Carlos Rosa (2-3, 2.64). First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., with coverage on Progressive Talk AM-1270 beginning at 1:45 p.m.

The Swing of the Quad Cities roster currently stands at 25 active players, the maximum allowed by the Midwest League. An updated roster is included in this release.

NEXT HOMESTAND: After a 12-game trip around the Midwest League, the Swing will return to John O'Donnell Stadium on May 20 for an eight-game homestand.
