Game Rewind
The Kalamazoo Wings started their week and a four-game home stand on Friday (11/11) against the Port Huron Flags. The K-Wings power-play unit set the tone for the game scoring a goal in each of the first two periods to give Kalamazoo a 2-0 lead. The third period belonged to Port Huron's Aaron Brand (5,6), who scored two power-play goals of his own to tie the game at 2-2. The game would eventually head to a shootout, where the K-Wings outscored the Flags 3-2 in the extra session, including the game-winning goal from Nick Bootland to give the K-Wings a 3-2 victory.
The K-Wings power-play also played a roll in the team's game on Saturday (11/12) against the Danbury Trashers. Kalamazoo, who defeated Danbury 6-1, scored five of their six goals with a man-advantage. Daniel Carriere led all K-Wings in scoring with a Kalamazoo UHL franchise tying four assists performance.
Fast Forward
The K-Wings will be tested this week with four games in five days starting this Wednesday (11/16) at Wings Stadium versus the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. Kalamazoo will looking to avenge a 3-2 lost to Rockford earlier this month (11/2) at the MetroCentre. Lifetime, Kalamazoo leads the all-time series over Rockford with a record of 31-20-7. The IceHogs start the week atop the Western Division with a record 10-1-0 (20 points).
On Friday (11/18), the K-Wings will conclude their four-game home stand against the Roanoke Valley Vipers. The Vipers start the week in second place in the Eastern Division with a record of 5-4-1 (11 points). The K-Wings have won eight straight games over Roanoke Valley, who were formally the Port Huron Flags. Face-off this Friday is at 7:30 p.m.
For the first time in two weeks the K-Wings will go back on the road, as Kalamazoo travels to Muskegon to battle the Fury. Kalamazoo will be looking to avenge a 3-2 loss at the L.C. Walker Arena back on November 5th. The Fury starts the week in first place in the Central Division with a record of 9-0-0 (18 points) and the only remaining undefeated team in the UHL.
Kalamazoo will conclude the week on Sunday (11/20), with a 4 p.m. matinee home game against the Quad City Mallards on K-Wings Kidz Mascot Day presented by Meijer and WKFR. The K-Wings, who are 16-20-3 all-time against the Mallards, have won the last two meetings between the teams. Quad City is currently in second place in the Western Division with a record of 7-3-2 (16 points).

Record Tying Performance
K-Wings defenseman Daniel Carriere tied a franchise UHL record last Saturday against Danbury. With four assists, Carriere becomes the sixth player (seventh occurance) to record four assists in a game.
One-Two Punch
The K-Wings possess the top goaltending duo in the entire UHL. Joel Martin leads the league in Goals Against Average (1.33) and in Save Percentage (.956), while Jeff Reynaert is second in the league in GAA (1.60) and in Save Percentage (.940).
Power Surge
The K-Wings has a monster week on the power-play. Kalamazoo scored seven of their eight goals last week while on the power-play.
Lighting the Lamp
The K-Wings haven't had problems scoring goals this season. In fact, the K-Wings have scored six or more goals in four of their eight games this season.
The Obscure Stat of the Week
The K-Wings have scored first in seven of their eight games this season. This season, Kalamazoo is 6-1-0 when they score the games first goal; lifetime, the K-Wings are 160-54-12 when they score first in a game.
