Moline, IL-The Mallards continued their red hot play for a second consecutive week by going 2-0-1 over a three-game weekend. Quad City beat Motor City 2-1 at home on Friday to start the weekend. On Saturday, the Mallards gained a point in a 3-2 shootout loss to Flint. Quad City forward Chad Woollard scored on the power play with five seconds left in regulation to force the shootout. On Sunday, the Mallards wrapped up the weekend with a 6-3 win at home over Fort Wayne. This week, the Mallards host Missouri on Friday before heading to Michigan for a Saturday night game in Motor City and a Sunday matinee in Kalamazoo.

Friday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. vs. the Missouri River Otters-Boy Scout Night, Bettendorf Chamber Night and Happy Joe's Puck and Pizza Friday featuring a post-game skate

The Mallards host Missouri on an action packed Friday night. It's Boy Scout Night and Bettendorf Chamber Night. Fans involved with these groups should contact the Mallards ticket office at (309) 764-7825 for more information on special ticket discounts. It's also a Happy Joe's Puck and Pizza Friday. For $65, fans will receive four lower bowl tickets and a large up-to-two topping pizza from Happy Joe's. The special offer is also available for upper bowl tickets for $45. This ticket offer is available exclusively at The MARK box office. Be sure to bring your skates as well as the Mallards host a post-game skate.

Wednesday, November 23rd vs. the Muskegon Fury-Flush the Fury Night with a Plunger Giveaway courtesy of Dick N Sons Lumber and a Miller Lite Wild Weekday

A pre-holiday clash with the defending Colonial Cup Champions features a plunger giveaway courtesy of Dick N Sons Lumber on Flush the Fury Night. It's a Miller Lite Wild Weekday featuring 12 ounce Miller Lite Draft Specials. During the intermission, Casino Rock Island is hosting a $10,000 cash drop. It's also the beginning of the Mallards Toys for Tots Drive. Fans that bring in a toy get a buy one ticket get one ticket free voucher to the Mallards home games on December 26th or 29th.

Saturday, November 26th vs. the Missouri River Otters-T-Shirt Giveaway Courtesy of Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Fox 18

T-shirts will be given away to the first 3,000 fans courtesy of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Fox 18. Toys for Tots continues along with a teddy bear toss. Fans who bring a toy for Toys for Tots or a stuffed bear to toss on the ice after the Mallards first goal receive a voucher for a buy one ticket get one ticket free to the Mallards home games on December 26th or 29th.

Friday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. vs. the Missouri River Otters at The MARK of the Quad Cities

The River Otters come to The MARK for the first time this year on Friday night. The Mallards roster features two former River Otters (Jason Tapp and Glenn Detulleo). The opposing coaches (Quad City's Brian Curran and Missouri's Kevin Kaminski) were teammates on the 1993-94 American Hockey League Champion Portland Pirates.

Saturday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. central time vs. the Motor City Mechanics at The Garage

The Mallards play the Mechanics for the third time this season on Saturday in Fraser, Michigan. The Mallards have won both of the previous meetings by one goal. The Mallards Pre-Game Show starts at 6:05 p.m. central time on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230.

Sunday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m. central time vs. the Kalamazoo Wings at Wings Stadium

The Mallards and Wings meet up for the first time this year on Sunday in Kalamazoo. Game time is 3:00 p.m. central time. The Mallards Pre-Game Show is on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230 at 2:35 p.m.

Friday, November 11th-Mechanics 1 at Mallards 2

The Quad City Mallards continued their winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Motor City Mechanics Friday night at The MARK. The Mechanics made it a 1-0 game late in the opening frame on a power-play goal by Greg Bullock. The Mallards evened the score in the second. On a 5-on-3 man-advantage, Chad Woollard lit the lamp for his team-leading eighth goal of the season. Quad City took the lead just 1:58 later when Anthony Blumer rifled a point-blank shot past Mechanics' netminder Rod Branch for his sixth goal of the year. Jason Tapp had yet another stellar performance in the Quad City net stopping 27 of 28 Motor City shots in earning his fifth win of the season.

Saturday, November 12th-Mallards 2 at Generals 3---Shootout

A pair of Chad Woollard goals, including a power-play goal with five seconds left, earned the Mallards a point in a 3-2 shootout loss on Saturday night in Flint. Woollard opened the scoring in the final minute of the opening period. The goal, scored on a delayed Flint penalty, was Woollard's ninth of the season. In the final five minutes of the second, Flint scored twice to take the lead for the first time. Fabien Laniel and Adam Sturgeon scored for the Generals with Laniel's marker coming on the power play. With 1:32 left in the game, J. P. Morin took a hooking penalty to set the stage for Woollard's late game heroics. The Mallards pulled goaltender Jason Tapp while on the power play to create a 6 on 4 advantage. Woollard scored off a goal mouth scramble with just 5 seconds left to tie the game. In the shootout, Laniel and Malcolm Hutt scored for Flint while the Mallards were shutout.

Sunday, November 13th-Komets 3 at Mallards 6

The Quad City Mallards improved to 7-3-2 on the season with a 6-3 win over Fort Wayne on Sunday afternoon at The MARK. With the win, the Mallards are now unbeaten in their last seven (5-0-2) and stand second in the UHL's Western Division. After a scoreless first, the teams combined for six second period goals. Quad City's Tom Galvin opened the scoring with his first goal as a Mallard on a four-on-four. Galvin earned assists on two subsequent Mallards goals to earn first star honors on the night. Five minutes later on a Mallards power play, Chad Woollard scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season. The power-play marker was Woollard's league-leading eighth of the season on the man advantage. The Mallards stretched the lead to 3-0 on an even strength goal by Anthony Blumer at 11:57 of the middle period. Fort Wayne recorded their first tally of the game at 14:12 of the second on a David Carpentier goal. Just 21 seconds after Carpentier's marker, Quad City's Mike Olynyk scored his first goal with the Mallards to retake a three-goal lead at 4-1. Fort Wayne added a late second period power-play goal by Lance Galbraith to end the second at 4-2. In the third, Fort Wayne struck quickly to slice the Mallards' lead to one. Carpentier scored his second of the night 2:13 into the period to set the score at 4-3. The Mallards quickly answered with a pair of goals just 48 seconds apart. Evgeny Lazarev scored his fourth goal at 4:24 of the period followed up by Noah Whyte's first Mallards goal at 5:12 of the period. The pair of third period goals set the final at 6-3.

Player of the Week

Chad Woollard is the Mallards nominee for the UHL Player of the Week. He scored the Mallards first goal on Friday in the 2-1 win over Motor City. On Saturday, Woollard scored both of the Mallards goals in a 3-2 shootout loss to Flint. He capped the weekend with a power-play tally in the Mallards 6-3 win over Fort Wayne.

Goalie of the Week

Jason Tapp is the Mallards nominee for UHL Goaltender of the Week. Tapp recorded a 1-0-1 record with a .943 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average.
