
K-Wings Prepare For Green Ice With Roster Moves

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce several roster moves for tonight's game versus the South Carolina Stingrays.
Defenseman Wes O'Neill has been activated off the three-Day IR and will be in the lineup tonight for the K-Wings.
Kalamazoo also received goaltender Riley Gill and defenseman Steven Tarasuk from the AHL. Gill was returned this morning from the Grand Rapids Griffins, while Tarasuk was reassigned by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Tarasuk, who was suspended one-game by the ECHL prior to his call-up will serve his suspension tonight.
Also, defenseman Corey Syvret has been placed on the team's three-day IR.
Beginning a three-game week, Kalamazoo will continue their four-game home stand with the third-leg of the stand tonight with a 7 p.m. face-off during the South Carolina Stingrays during the 30th Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game, presented by 5/3 Bank, WWMT and WRKR. Following March 17th's contest, the K-Wings will auction off their St. Patrick's jerseys. On the season, Kalamazoo leads the season series over South Carolina, who starts the week in second place in the South Division, with a record of 3-2-0-0.
On Friday, the K-Wings will conclude their four-game home stand with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Trenton Devils on Celebration! Cinema Night and it will the final Frugal Fan Friday of the regular season, featuring $1 beers and $1 hot dogs. So far this season, the K-Wings are 1-1-0-0 versus the Devils, who start the week in third place in the Atlantic Division.
Friday will also be a Win-Win night, presented by WNWN, if the K-Wings are victorious on Friday, all fans in attendance will receive a coupon for FREE ticket to one of the K-Wings next two home games.
