
K-Wings Get Medieval, Honor Heroes During Weekend Home Stand

KALAMAZOO, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings begin a two-night home stand on Friday night at Wings Event Center against the Evansville Icemen and follow it up with a Saturday tilt with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Friday's game against Evansville is the first medieval night at Wings Event Center presented by Kalsee Credit Union. The activities will feature medieval fare at the concession stands, on-ice sword fighting during intermission, and other interactive games.
The Wings will also be teaming up with Communities in Schools' Kids Closet for a clothes drive. Fans are encouraged to donate new sweatpants, coats, boots, socks, or school stationary. For every two items donated, fans will receive a $5 concessions voucher.
The K-Wings will host the Cincinnati Cyclones on Saturday during the annual honor our heroes night presented by AmeriFirst Home Mortgage.
The first 1,200 fans through the doors will receive a special rally towel, courtesy of AmeriFirst Home Mortgage. AmeriFirst has also purchased 200 tickets to the game to be given to community heroes nominated by the public. Fans can nominate their hero by going here. The Wings will be wearing themed jerseys for the game that will be auctioned off after the contest in the main lobby at Wings Event Center.
Both weekend games are set to face off at 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on AM 1660 The Fan beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Single-game tickets are now on sale! Tickets can be purchased at kwings.com or at the Wings Event Center box office. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A $2 discount is applied on all tickets purchased before the date of the game.
