November 12, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Brampton Beast News Release
BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John's IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that left winger Tim Bozon has been reassigned from the IceCaps and will report to the Beast.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Lugano, Switzerland, the 21-year-old Bozon is the son of former NHLer Philippe Bozon. He was selected in the third round, 64th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
He completed his junior career in 2014-15 in the Western Hockey League, where he played alongside Buffalo Sabres second overall draft pick Sam Reinhart with the Kootenay Ice. He recorded 35 goals and 28 assists for 63 points in only 57 games played.
His career junior numbers are very impressive. He recorded four straight 30-goal seasons between the Kamloops Blazers and the Kootenay Ice from 2011-12 to 2014-15 and owns a career point-per-game pace in the WHL, scoring 140 goals and adding 154 assists in 260 games played.
In his rookie season in junior, he led all WHL rookies in goal scoring with 36 tallies and was named to the Canadian Hockey League's Top Prospects Game.
Bozon made his pro debut at the end of his junior career following the conclusion of the 2014-15 campaign. He played in a single AHL game with the Montreal Canadiens' former AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. He was held scoreless and recorded six shots on goal against the Lake Erie Monsters on April 18, 2015.
Come see Bozon at the Powerade Centre this weekend as the Beast host the Kalamazoo Wings on Sunday, November 15 at 2:00PM. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25. Trial Packs for the 2015-16 season are also available starting at $39.99 that include three game tickets.
