December 8, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Monday that defenseman Nick Jones was reassigned to the Fuel by the AHL's Worcester Sharks. The Fuel also announced Monday the signing of 6'3", 180 lb. goaltender Eric Levine and the release of defenseman Adam McKenzie.
Prior to his recall by Worcester, Jones tallied one goal and six points in 14 appearances for the Fuel this season with two penalty minutes and a -3 rating. The 6'2", 200 lb. right-handed shooter and native of Cranberry, Pennsylvania appeared in one game for Worcester in his most recent AHL assignment.
Levine, a 26 year old native of Wheeling, Illinois, appeared in one game for the Fort Wayne Komets this season, stopping 20 of the 21 pucks he faced in a 4-1 Komets road win over the Kalamazoo Wings on November 28th. In six appearances in the SPHL for the Peoria Rivermen this season, Levine is 4-1-1 with a 2.09 goals-against average (GAA) and a .920 save percentage (S%). A second year professional, Levine split time between the CHL's Allen Americans and Peoria last season. Prior to his pro career, Levine posted a career 30-22-11 record in 72 collegiate appearances spanning four seasons with Robert Morris University from 2009 to 2013.
Next up for the Fuel, it's a Friday road clash at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida vs. the Florida Everblades with the opening faceoff set for 7:30 pm.
