Jamie Oleksiak Assigned to Texas from Dallas

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has loaned defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL), on a conditioning assignment.

Oleksiak, 23, has recorded two assists (0-2=2) and 37 hits in 11 games this season with Dallas. Per terms of his loan, his conditioning assignment can span up to 14 full days.

The 6-foot-7, 260-pound native of Toronto, Ont. was selected by Dallas in the first round (14th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
