Knodel, Hackett Sent to Utah

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has assigned defenseman Eric Knodel and goaltender Matt Hackett to Utah, San Diego's ECHL affiliate.

Knodel, 25 (6/8/90), has appeared in four games with San Diego this season, going scoreless. The 6-6, 225-pound blueliner has collected 4-9=13 points with a +11 rating in 20 games with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies this season.

Hackett, 25 (3/7/90), has appeared in 10 games with San Diego this season, posting a 5-4-0 record with a 2.89 goals-against average (GAA) and a .901 save percentage (SV%). A native of London, Ontario, Hackett has yet to appear with the Grizzlies this season.
