Reign Look to Carry Momentum into Tonight's American Red Cross Tilt vs. Bakersfield

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), take on the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 6:00 PT on American Red Cross Night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tonight is the seventh of 12 meetings between the two teams this season.

American Red Cross Night:

The Reign are wearing special hot-rod themed jerseys tonight and hosting a postgame jersey auction to benefit the American Red Cross Inland Empire.

The Last Time We Met:

The Reign hold a 4-2-0-0 head-to-head record against the Condors and are coming off a 4-0 setback in their last meeting last Saturday at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California. Reign forward Kris Newbury (four goals, one assist) and defenseman Vincent LoVerde (one goal, four assists) lead the Reign in the series with five points each.

Home Sweet Home:

Tonight is game two of a five-game homestand and the middle contest of a three-game in three-day weekend, all on home ice. The Reign hold an 11-4-2-1 record at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Budaj Closing in on 200:

Reign goaltender Peter Budaj is tied for first in the AHL with 19 wins this season and is one victory away from 200 in his professional career. In 477 appearances over a 14-year career, Budaj is 199-180-54 with a 2.70 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.

Riding High:

The Reign defeated the San Diego Gulls last night, 5-0, at Citizens Business Bank Arena behind a three-point game from defenseman Vincent LoVerde (one goal, two assists), two goals from Jordan Samuels-Thomas and Budaj's 27 saves.
