ON THE SCORESHEET

- Brendan Leipsic recorded three goals in the first two periods, his second professional hat trick and the first of the season for the Marlies. He last accomplished the feat on April 7, 2015 against the Adirondack Flames.

- TJ Brennan recorded three assists to vault himself into a tie for first in AHL scoring among all skaters.

- Nikita Soshnikov scored his 13th goal of the year and he extends his point streak to three games. He has recorded three goals and one assist in that span.

- Brett Findlay scored his first goal of the season, capping the scoring for the Marlies. The goal is his sixth point of the year.

- Ryan Rupert has points in back to back games, recording a goal and an assist in tonight's contest.

- Antoine Bibeau recorded his third straight victory turning aside 30 shots to earn his 13th victory of the year.

- Matt Frattin recorded two assists, his second multi-point game of the season.

- Zach Hyman recorded an assist on the second Marlies goal. Toronto is 10-0-0-0 in games when Zach Hyman records an assist.

- Jack Rodewald recorded his first point of the year, an assist, skating in his seventh game of the season.

- Casey Bailey recorded his 10th assist of the year, it is his third power play assist this season.

- Kasperi Kapanen recorded an assist on the Soshnikov goal, his first point since returning from the World Juniors.

NOTABLES

- With the victory Toronto extends their season high win streak to seven games, which started with a victory against Lake Erie on New Year's Eve. They are outscoring opponents 25-12 over that span.

- Toronto improves to 11-0-0-0 when leading after the first period and 13-0-0-0 when scoring five or more goals.

- Toronto has now had two players hold a share of the AHL scoring lead; William Nylander and currently TJ Brennan.
