ELMIRA, N.Y. After scoring six goals Friday night, the Norfolk Admirals went scoreless at First Arena Saturday night in a 4-0 loss to the Elmira Jackals.

Midway through the first period, Chris Langkow circled the Admirals' net and centered a pass in front for Mike Seidel. Seidel's one-timer sailed over Norfolk goaltender Adam Courchaine's left shoulder into the top shelf and Elmira led 1-0 at 10:59.

A second goal didn't come until nearly two minutes remained in the middle frame. Garrett Ladd picked up an Admirals turnover behind the Norfolk net and found Allan MacPherson streaking towards the crease. MacPherson fired the dish into the left pad of Courchaine, but the puck rebounded directly to Mark Bennett who scooped a shot over Courchaine's glove. The goal at 17:53 doubled the Jackals' lead and gave them a two-goal cushion heading to the third.

Elmira put a win out of reach with 8:29 left in regulation as Justin Kea elevated a wrister into the net over Courchaine who was above the crease to close down the angle. Kea's goal at 11:31 of the third made it 3-0 Jackals.

The Admirals emptied their net with less than five minutes to play, and Elmira's Kevin Clare filled it at 15:53 of the final period as the Jackals cruised to the 4-0 win.

Niklas Lundstrom recorded a shutout by saving 46 shots for Elmira. Adam Courchaine suffered his first loss as an Admiral, allowing three goals on 22 shots faced. While the Admirals blanked the Jackals on two power plays, Elmira did the same to Norfolk on three man advantages.

A five-game road swing concludes tomorrow afternoon in Brampton, ON for the Admirals, as they take on the Beast at 2 p.m. in Canada.

Three Stars of the Game:

1. ELM - 35 Niklas Lundstrom

2. ELM - 17 Mike Seidel

3. ELM - 19 Garrett Klotz
