
Jabari Brown Scores 50 as D-Fenders Defeat Skyforce

Sioux Falls, SD (Jan. 10, 2015) - Jabari Brown scored 50 points, an NBA D-League season high, as the Los Angeles D-Fenders defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 124-99, ending Sioux Falls' five game home winning streak.
Los Angeles (7-15) jumped out to an early 13-point lead as a Roscoe Smith dunk gave the D-Fenders a 23-10 lead with 3:48 remaining in the first quarter. The Skyforce (10-10) responded with a 14-to-seven run to end the quarter. Sioux Falls scored on their last five possessions of the quarter. Sioux Falls continued to cut into the Los Angeles lead and a Shawn Jones jump-shot gave the Skyforce a 35-33 lead with 7:52 left until halftime, their first lead since 8:58 mark of the first quarter. The two teams remained close the rest of the half and Sioux Falls took a 57-55 lead into the break. Los Angeles' Jabari Brown led all scorer's with 22 points in the first half.
The Skyforce extended their lead to seven and led the D-Fenders 68-61 with 8:29 left in the third quarter. Los Angeles responded with an eight-to-zero run in just over a minute and took a 69-68 lead. A Khem Birch put-back with 4:38 remaining in the quarter gave the Skyforce a 73-72 lead. The D-Fenders then finished the quarter on a 16-4 run and took an 88-77 lead into the final quarter.
Los Angeles' run grew to 24-to-four as they took a 98-77 lead with 9:45 remaining in the final quarter. A Jabari Brown dunk with 3:32 remaining in the game gave Los Angeles a 119-91 lead and Brown 47 points, a NBA D-League high for this season. The D-Fenders ended the night with a 124-99, ending Sioux Falls' five game home winning streak and handing the Skyforce their largest defeat of the season.
Jabari Brown finished the night with a NBA D-League season high 50 points. Brown was 15-of-22 from the field and 14-of-17 from the charity stripe. Roscoe Smith added 21 points and 12 rebounds and Vander Blue finished with a near triple-double, 23 points 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Tyler Johnson's 19 points led the six Skyforce players who scored in double-figures. Larry Drew II finished the night with 10 points and 10 assists, giving him his ninth double-double of the season.
Sioux Falls is back in action at home Tuesday night against the Erie BayHawks (7-14). Los Angeles will now travel south for a match-up against the Oklahoma City Blue (11-10) this Tuesday.
