Isotopes Drop Third Straight in El Paso

The Isotopes (41-42) dropped their third-straight game to the El Paso Chihuahuas (45-39) Monday night, falling 6-1 at Southwest University Park.

Albuquerque took the lead to start the ?game as Garrett Hampson scored on a fielder's choice in the first inning. Hampson recorded three of the Isotopes' five hits in the contest with all three of his hits going for singles. The 23-year-old is batting .321 in 39 games with Albuquerque this season.

Left-handed pitcher Sam Howard held the Chihuahuas scoreless for the first two innings of the night before El Paso struck for two runs in the third. Howard ended up allowing five earned runs and nine hits in 5.0 innings on the hill. The loss was his sixth of the year.

The Isotopes conclude their five-game series in El Paso on Tuesday evening. First pitch from Southwest University Park is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
