LAS VEGAS - The Salt Lake Bees dropped their seventh consecutive game in an 8-3 loss to the Las Vegas 51s on Monday night.

Down 3-0, Salt Lake rallied to tie the game with three runs in the seventh. Nolan Fontana walked and came home on Eric Young, Jr's third home run of the season. Sherman Johnson reached second on an infield single and error, holding at second on an infield single by Ben Revere. After a sacrifice, Michael Hermosillo was intentionally walked to load the bases. With two out, Taylor Ward reached on an infield single to bring home Johnson with the tying run.

Former Bee Zach Borenstein broke the tie with a leadoff home run in the eighth off of Greg Mahle (2-2) and Las Vegas added four more runs in the inning to put the game away. Salt Lake starter Luis Pena went five and two-third innings and allowed three runs on five hits with six strikeouts and one walk. Ward led the Bees with three hits and one run batted in, while Young added two hits and two RBI. Johnson added two hits, as Salt Lake dropped out of first place for the first time since the end of play on May 2nd.
