
Islanders Recall Mouillierat

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The New York Islanders announced today that Kael Mouillierat has been recalled from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
Mouillierat, 27, leads all Sound Tigers in goals (18) and points (40) through 51 games this season. The Edmonton, AB, native has yet to make his National Hockey League debut.
A 6'0, 188-pound forward, Mouillierat returned to the Islanders organization as a free agent this offseason after having played 44 games with Bridgeport in 2011-12. In 160 career AHL games with the St. John's IceCaps, Sound Tigers and the Texas Stars, Mouillierat has 120 points (39 goals, 81 assists). He posted a career year last season in St. John's, recording career highs in goals (20), assists (33) and points (53) and helping the IceCaps advance to the Calder Cup Finals with 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 21 playoff games.
Mouillierat had a four-year collegiate career at Minnesota State University-Mankato. He made his professional debut at the end of his senior season in 2009-10 with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. In 117 career ECHL games, all with Idaho, Mouillierat scored 119 points (55 goals, 64 assists). He was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team and played in the ECHL All-Star Game in 2010-11.
