
Folin Recalled to Minnesota, Bickel Reassigned to Iowa

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Christian Folin (pronounced FOE-lin) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and reassigned defenseman Stu Bickel to Iowa.
Folin, 24 (2/9/91), has collected six points (1-56), an even rating and averaged 15:02 in time on ice in 29 games with Minnesota this season and recorded four points (2-24) in 12 games with Iowa. The 6-foot-3, 214-pound native of Gothenburg, Sweden, owns seven points (1-67) and nine penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 career NHL contests with the Wild. Folin was signed as a free agent on March 31, 2014 and wears sweater No. 5 with Minnesota.
Bickel, 28 (10/2/86), has tallied one assist, a plus-1 rating and ranks third on the team with 46 PIM in nine games with Minnesota this season. He has recorded eight points (2-68) and 51 PIM in 23 games with Iowa.
After a stop in Milwaukee on Saturday, Iowa returns home at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 to face Grand Rapids. It's a Taco Tuesday - presented by Taco Johns, where each fan that comes to the game receives a coupon for a free crispy beef taco from Taco Johns. It's also a two-for-one Tuesday, where fans may purchase one attack end ticket and receive a second ticket one free, sponsored by Hits 99.9 FM. Also, those who bring in a Subway receipt may purchase a $5 game ticket at the box office. Iowa is also hosting a food drive, presented by Zerorez. Fans are encouraged to bring in a canned fruit item to receive a ticket voucher to a future regular season weekday game.
The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
