Springfield Falcons Release Defenseman Mike Little from PTO

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have released defenseman Mike Little from his professional tryout contract, Falcons Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced today.

Little, 27, appeared in three contests, recording two assists, since signing a PTO with the team on Feb. 12. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound defenseman has also skated in four games with the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League this season, posting two penalty minutes. Additionally, he appeared in 40 contests with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL, recording 7-25-32, eight penalty minutes and a +22 rating. The Enfield, Connecticut native has skated in a career total of 225 ECHL games, earning 29-102-131, to go along with 84 penalty minutes and a +56 rating.

Prior to his professional career, Little spent four seasons at American International College, tallying 5-27-32 and 32 penalty minutes in 133 games.
