
IronPigs Snap Four-Game Losing Streak

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, PA) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (35-29) snapped their four-game losing streak as they beat the Buffalo Bisons (36-27) 5-4 on Friday evening. Jorge Bonifacio hit a go-ahead two-run double against Brandon Eisert (2-1) in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Lehigh Valley the 5-4 lead.
Chavez Young hit a two-run home run against Michael Plassmeyer in the top of the third inning to give Buffalo a 2-0 lead. The home run for Young was his first of the season. Johan Camargo hit a go-ahead three-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning against Thomas Hatch to give Lehigh Valley a 3-2 lead.
Nathan Lukes hit a go-ahead two-run single against Kyle Dohy in the top of the seventh inning that put Buffalo ahead 4-3.
Ryan Sherriff (1-0) earned the win by pitching a scoreless top of the eighth inning. Mark Appel earned his fifth save of the season by pitching a scoreless top of the ninth inning. He retired the side in order.
The IronPigs and Bisons play again on Saturday evening at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
