
IronPigs lose fourth straight game

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, PA) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (26-37) lost their fourth straight game on Friday evening and fell to 11 games under .500 this season. The Buffalo Bisons (37-24) won 4-3.
Mickey Moniak put the IronPigs on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning when he hit a sacrifice fly against Zach Logue (2-1). Christian Colon tied the game at 1-1 for Buffalo in the bottom of the first inning when he hit an RBI double against David Parkinson (0-6) to score Breyvic Valera.
The IronPigs took a 3-1 lead against Logue in the top of the fourth inning when Ruben Tejada hit a sacrifice fly to score Darick Hall and Austin Listi hit an RBI single to score Jake Elmore. Buffalo tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Kevin Smith hit a two-run triple against Parkinson.
Colon homered against Parkinson in the bottom of the fifth inning to give Buffalo a 4-3 lead. Parkinson allowed four runs (two earned) over four innings with nine hits allowed and five strikeouts. Damon Jones, Mike Adams, and Julian Garcia all pitched in relief for Lehigh Valley.
Moniak extended his hitting streak to eight games in the top of the eighth inning with a single. Hobie Harris earned his sixth save of the season by pitching a scoreless top of the ninth inning.
Lehigh Valley and Buffalo play again on Saturday evening at Trenton Thunder Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
