DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Cubs (16-10) executed a double-header sweep over the San Antonio Missions (15-11), taking Game 1 6-1 and the nightcap 3-2.

Colin Rea led the charge in Game 1, holding the Missions scoreless through 5.0. The righty gave up just one hit and walked two, while helping his cause with his first career home run in the fourth inning.

Iowa scored three in the second on an RBI single from Francisco Arcia and a two-RBI base knock from Donnie Dewees. Rea's homer increased the lead in the fourth, before a Phillip Evans single plated two more in the fifth to give Iowa a 6-0 edge. San Antonio spoiled the shutout with a run in the seventh.

The Missions scored the first run of Game 2 on a towering home run to center from Keston Hiura in the opening frame. I-Cubs quickly took back the momentum as Johnny Field and Cristhian Adames lined back-to-back doubles to tie the game. Field got in on the scoring again in the following frame with a two-RBI double.

The Missions fought back with a run in the fourth, but the I-Cubs maintained the edge for a one-run victory. Trevor Clifton allowed two earned runs through 5.0 innings and fanned eight on his way to his first win of the season.
