Iowa Energy Finalize Training Camp Roster

Des Moines, Iowa . - The Iowa Energy have finalized their list of training camp invitees for the 2014-2015 season. The roster is comprised of four returning players and four local tryout players. In addition, the Energy added six draft picks to their roster from today's NBA Development League Draft.

The Energy held the 16th overall pick and selected Damien Wilkins (6-6, 225, Georgia) in the first round. The Energy acquired two draft picks in the second round via a five-team trade with Rio Grande Valley, Santa Cruz, Texas and Delaware. Nick Barbour (6-3, 175, Richmond) was selected 24th overall by the Texas Legends and traded to Iowa. Trayvonn Wright was selected 31st overall by the Santa Cruz Warriors and traded to Iowa. In addition, the Energy received returning player rights to Hassan Whiteside from Rio Grande Valley and a 2015 second round pick. The Energy give up Marcus Melvin (fourth round, #70 overall pick) to Texas and send Brandon Provost (seventh round, #124 overall pick) and returning player rights to Earl Clark to Rio Grande Valley.

In the following rounds, the Energy selected Mike McCall (6-0, 180, Saint Louis) in the third round, Anthony Stover (6-10, 245, UCLA) in the fifth round and Malik Smith (6-2, 170, Minnesota) in the sixth round.
