Austin Spurs Announce Pre-Draft Trade

AUSTIN, TX (November 1, 2014) - The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC today announced the team has acquired forward Jarell Eddie from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for Myck Kabongo and the team's own second round selection in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft.

Eddie (6-7, 220) played four years at Virginia Tech, starting 30 of 31 games his senior year and averaging 13.3 points and 5.4 rebounds. He was named to the All ACC Academic team his junior and senior year. Eddie played for the Washington Wizards in the 2014 Las Vegas Summer League where he averaged 3.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in six games. He appeared in three preseason games with the Atlanta Hawks averaging 2.7 points.

Fans can join head coach Ken McDonald and staff for the 2014 NBA D-League Draft today starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel in the Arboretum. Selections begin at 2:30 p.m. and the Austin Spurs have the third overall pick. The draft party is free and open to the public. Fans can watch the draft live at nbadleague.com.
