Austin Spurs to Hold Local Player Tryouts September 12

AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs today announced that they will hold local player tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Premier Athletic Complex (8220 183A Toll Road, Leander, TX 78641). Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m., and tryouts will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Participants will take part in skill drills and scrimmages led by Austin's coaching staff. Members of the San Antonio Spurs basketball operations staff will also be on site to observe. Up to three participants may be invited to Austin Spurs training camp.

Last year's local tryout class included Jayden Nunn, who appeared in 47 games (23 starts) for Austin during the 2025-26 season, averaging 15.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 28.2 minutes. Most recently, Nunn played for the San Antonio Spurs in NBA 2K27 Summer League in Las Vegas.

Since 2013, 16 players from the team's local tryouts have made the Austin Spurs opening night roster.

Information on registration and required documentation is available here. Payment is due on the day of the tryout and may be made by cash ($200) or credit card ($175).
