EDINBURG, Texas - The Austin Spurs (0-1) fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (1-0), 117-106, on Tuesday evening in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2026 NBA G League Playoffs, presented by Google, at Bert Ogden Arena.
Kyle Mangas led the Spurs with a career-high 45 points, Adam Flager added 20 points, and Harrison Ingram finished 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Rio Grande Valley took a 68-49 lead into halftime behind 18 points from Daishen Nix, while Mangas led Austin with 15. The Spurs outscored the Vipers 29-22 in the third quarter, led by 17 points from Mangas, but trailed 90-78 entering the final frame. Though Austin cut the deficit to five late in the fourth quarter, it wasn't enough to outlast Rio Grande Valley.
Nix finished with 34 points for the Vipers and Tristen Newton contributed 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
