IceCats Release Defenseman

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that the IceCats have released defenseman Danny Eberly from his professional tryout contract.

The Canton, Massachusetts native was signed by the IceCats to an American Hockey League (AHL) tryout contract prior to last night's 5-3 win over the Manchester Monarchs. In his AHL debut, the 6-0, 190 pound blueliner registered his first professional goal.

Prior to joining the IceCats, he skated in 15 games with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, recording one assist and six penalty minutes: 15(0/1/1)6. He will rejoin the Bullies on the road in Las Vegas.

The IceCats are on the road for five straight games, before returning to Worcester's Centrum Centre for a 7:05 face off with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, December 19th.
